This fragrance is a tribute to Vietnam. Here, Vietnamese ylang ylang - which is cultivated throughout Southeast Asia -- sits as the complex core of the blend, influenced by the distinct scent of lavender, representing the French influence on its one-time colony.

Ylang Ylang means 'flowers of flowers' and is known as the "perfume tree" thanks to its sweet, jasmine-like scent. The fragrant, pale-yellow petals of ylang ylang symbolize love and union and are often strewn across marriage beds in Vietnam. Lavender is also a symbol of love. Its fresh scent, like love, is said to simultaneously stimulate and relax. Native to France, the sweet, herbaceous smelling, blue-violet flowers are used in sachets, candies, and teas. The essential oil is widely used for healing, soothing pain, and promoting sleep. Both of these flowers are said to balance emotions.
